TITANIUM DIOXIDE PHOTOCATALYTIC OXIDATION

The reaction chamber consist of a patented layer with a special form of titanium dioxide. This layer is capable to activate the water from the air to produce hydroxyl- and hydrogen-radicals upon irradiation. These radicals will react with biological probes such as viruses and fungal spores. During the reaction cell walls and other biological building blocks will be destroyed leading to an elimination of the biological sample. The product of the reaction is water and very low ammount of carbon dioxide. The amount of carbon dioxide is lower than the air you exhale.

Ionization

Ionization effectively removes larger airborne contaminants such as cigarette smoke, animal dander and odorous organic compounds, by means of ionic-bonded aggregation and a consequent extraction out of the air by means of gravitational forces. Large scale airborne contaminants are factors that are listed amongst the most common causes that contribute towards chronic health problems associated with deteriorating Indoor Air Quality.

However, there is a risk with other air ionizers which will create ozone, a highly active chemical compound which is known to have a negative impact on health. Our product is certified that no ozone will be contained in the purified and disinfected air wich will leave our device.


UV Irradiation

Ultraviolet light within a specific wavelength range, defined as UV-C, is highly germicidal i.e. destructive to pathogenic microorganisms. When viruses, bacteria or mould spores are exposed to UV-C irradiation then the DNA and the cellular wall structures of these microorganisms are irrevocably damaged, thereby preventing the cells from further replicating and rendering them harmless.
